Sydney Moore, the mother of the young boy, recounted the harrowing moment their mobile home was hit, tearing away the roof and whisking her son, snug in his bassinet, into the vortex of the storm.

A Father’s Desperate Attempt

In a desperate bid to save their child, the boy’s father clung to the bassinet as the tornado spun them around, ultimately throwing them aside. Meanwhile, Moore protected their 1-year-old son by covering him with her body as their home crumbled around them.

“He was just holding on to the bassinet the whole time, and they went into circles, he said, and then they got thrown,” Moore told CBS.

A Miraculous Discovery

After the storm passed, amidst the chaos and destruction, the family searched frantically for their youngest member. Ten minutes later, they found him, remarkably unharmed, nestled in a fallen tree. “I was pretty sure he was dead,” Moore told reporters. Yet, their son was alive, a testament to what Moore describes as “the grace of God”.
