'Fake Chiropractor' Accused in Sex Assault Spree

At first glance, it looked like any other wellness practice. According to investigators, 66-year-old Pedro Antonio Jandres allegedly booked paid appointments with clients seeking massage and chiropractic therapy - without holding a license to perform either service.

Authorities say Jandres operated this way in Raleigh, North Carolina, and charged clients for treatment sessions under the guise of professional care.

The illusion began to crack in April, when Jandres was arrested on two misdemeanor counts: practicing medicine without a license and sexual battery.

At that time, police alleged he had assaulted a woman during a massage session earlier that year. But the story didn’t end there.

New Allegations Emerge

On June 9, the Raleigh Police Department filed a new arrest warrant against Jandres, bringing a wave of additional accusations. He was arrested again the following day, this time facing felony charges, including second-degree forced sexual offense and attempted second-degree forced sexual offense. These new charges involve three victims and incidents that allegedly occurred between 2022 and 2024.

The Legal Fallout

Jandres made his first court appearance following the latest charges on June 11. The judge set his bond at $100,000 secured, meaning he would need to post that amount to be released from custody. His next court date is scheduled for June 25.

If convicted, the felony offenses could carry significant prison time. In North Carolina, second-degree forced sexual offense is a Class C felony, which may result in decades behind bars.
