'Wallet Full of Cocaine' Gets Florida Man Banned From Disney®
By Jessie Stone. May 20, 2025
When families pack for a day at Disney®, they usually grab sunscreen, snacks, and maybe a pair of mouse ears. But on one Friday evening in late March, a 44-year-old Florida man allegedly brought something far less family-friendly to the gates of the Magic Kingdom® - a wallet filled with cocaine.
A Routine Bag Check Turns Into a Drug Bust
It was around 5:20 p.m. on March 29, 2025, when Dustin Lee Wallace, accompanied by his son, stepped into the security checkpoint at the Magic Kingdom bus loop.
Like all guests, he was asked to undergo a metal detector screening. The scanner went off when it passed over Wallace’s back pocket, where a bulky wallet was tucked away. According to the arrest affidavit, Wallace appeared nervous as security asked him to empty his pockets.
The wallet was opened by a Disney security officer, revealing a plastic bag containing a powdery white substance. When a field test allegedly confirmed the substance as cocaine, park security wasted no time calling the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
What Happened Next - and What He Told Police
Deputies arrived shortly after and took Wallace into custody. During questioning, he allegedly admitted to using cocaine for about a month, citing stress at work as the reason for turning to drugs. Wallace also admitted that he had knowingly placed the cocaine in his wallet and had tried to bring it into the park, according to the affidavit.
He was arrested and booked into a nearby jail. Wallace later pleaded not guilty on April 2. His bond was set at $2,500, and his case remains pending in Orange Circuit Court.
Disney’s Response: A Swift Ban
Following the incident, Disney security directed Wallace to leave the park immediately and informed him he was banned from all Disney-owned properties - including parks, hotels, and affiliated venues. According to Walt Disney World’s policies, illegal substances are strictly prohibited. The rules allow the company to remove individuals from the premises “without refund, liability or compensation … to ensure safety, security or order,” as reported by Vice.
This isn’t the first time someone has been caught trying to bring drugs into the Magic Kingdom. In an unrelated case from the prior months, another individual was arrested after carrying what was initially claimed to be cocaine but later tested as ketamine.
A Reminder at the Happiest Place on Earth
While the allegations against Wallace are still under legal review, the situation serves as a pointed reminder - even the Happiest Place on Earth follows strict safety protocols and they’re not afraid to enforce them.
